The African Scene
I saw four lions lying in wait,
with hungry eyes and halted gait,
with paws and claws designed to tear,
pale eyes and steel-like stare.
I like them, waited, still,
to see a bold, dramatic kill.
They, to eat, I, to see,
the natural consequence would be.
Kill to eat, eat to live,
Nature takes, nature gives.
