Best of Namibia Wing
7 Day Sample Itinerary
Here's a great option for those who want to see the highlights of Namibia in one week. This circuit-style safari offers several camp choices and, if you have more
time, can easily be combined with add-on days to other regions such as the Skeleton Coast.
Flying between camps minimizes your travel time and provides a bird's-eye view of the immense landscapes. And on the ground, you will enjoy a variety of activities including day and night game drives, nature walks, quad biking, and an optional dolphin cruise.
To observe Namibia from the air is an awe-inspiring experience. The vast expanses of moving, rippling sands, the great blue skies and grey of the ocean extend to the horizon. This safari explores four distinct regions: the sands and red dunes of Sossusvlei; the icy, life-filled coasts of Swakopmund and Walvis Bay; the stark plains of Damaraland with their desert-adapted wildlife; and the amazing wildlife abundance of the Etosha savannah.
The safari begins and ends Windhoek. All meals, park fees and activities are included. This is an ideal journey for small groups of four to eight persons.
Note: There are no set departures as this is designed to offer the flexibility of a custom-tailored itinerary just for you. If you have more time, we recommend spending a few nights in Swakopmund on the Atlantic coast or adding on another region like the Skeleton Coast. A private guide can always be arranged.

Days 1 & 2
You depart from Eros International Airport, close to the center of Windhoek by light aircraft for the one hour flight to Sossusvlei. You will stay two nights in the Kulala Wilderness Reserve which borders the expansive Namib Naukluft Park. This is a convenient place to access the towering red dunes of the Namib. The Sossusvlei dunes rise dramatically 1,000 feet above the plains. Accommodations in this area include Kulala Desert Lodge, Little Kulala, or Kulala Wilderness Camp.

Days 3 & 4
Fly over the Namib Desert for an alternative view of the dunes from the air and then due west to Meob Bay on the Skeleton Coast. The desert and Skeleton Coast scenery is spectacular, where the dunes and the desert meet the Atlantic Ocean, inland to Damaraland for two nights. Choose between Damaraland Camp in the Torra Conservancy or Desert Rhino Camp in the Palmwag Concession.
The Torra Conservancy is the result of a highly successful partnership between Wilderness Safaris and the local Torra community - that has become an inspiration for communities and conservationists throughout Africa. Despite the harsh environment, the area supports a high diversity of wildlife including the desert-adapted elephant, Hartmann’s mountain zebra, giraffe, gemsbok and springbok.
The Palmwag Concession is in the range of the to the rarely seen, desert-adapted lion population of north-west Namibia. Cheetah and leopard can also been spotted in this area. The conservancy supports the largest free-roaming population of desert-adapted black rhino in Africa.
If you would like to extend your safari with a few days in Swakopmund, you can easily add a few days at this point in your itinerary.
Days 5 & 6
Your next flight is from Damaraland to the Etosha area - Namibia's premiere game viewing area. Your final two nights will be spent at the Ongava Lodge or Ongava Tented Camp, located in the private reserve area near Etosha National Park.
Game drive activities will focus mainly within Etosha in the mornings. In the afternoon and evening you have the opportunity to enjoy walks, hides and night drives within the private Ongava Reserve, activities not possible within Etosha. Lion, leopard, elephant white rhino and black rhino as well as all the plains game can be seen here. Tracking rhino on foot is one of Ongava's highlights. Ongava has resident white and black rhino, giving guests staying at Ongava the opportunity to see both species.

Day 7
Depart Ongava today on your light air charter back to Windhoek International or Eros Airport.
