Day 2

You will be transferred to nearby Sindabezi Island today.  You can spend today at the Victoria Falls, go for a morning boat cruise on the Zambezi or ask the team to assist you in organizing white water rafting or a swim in the Devil’s Pool (seasonal activities).

Sindabezi Island is a small and intimate camp located on a shady, picturesque island in the middle of the Zambezi River, just a quick boat ride away.  It was selected by The London Sunday Times as one of the best remote places to stay in the world in 2008.  There are five, open-fronted thatched chalets.

Day 3

With many activities on offer, today you could go canoeing or fishing, visit the nearby local village,  shop at the market, have lunch on a private island or participate in a game drive in the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park.

Walking Safari: Norman Carr Safaris

Days 4 & 5

This morning you will fly from Livingstone to Mfuwe were you will be met and transferred to Kapani Lodge to begin your safari.   An early start gives you the full day to explore this game-rich area. The morning drive brings you back to camp for lunch and a bit of down time before heading out again in the late afternoon.  After the sun sets,  you will have the opportunity to view some of the nocturnal inhabitants of the bush.

Days 6 & 7

Today you will move into a more remote area to your first bush camp where you will experience your first proper walking safari. Game viewing activities from Luwi and Nsolo bush camps are mostly on foot although game drives and night drives are always an option.

Day 8 & 9

You will transfer to your next bush camp this morning, either walking or driving (or a combination of both). You will arrive in time for brunch. You’ll have two full day here exploring the South Luangwa and all it has to offer. Kakuli or Mchenja offer both walking and driving safaris.

Day 10

Today you will fly from Mfuwe to Lilongwe and onto Likoma Island in the midst of the crystal clear waters of Lake Malawi.  Kaya Mawa (meaning “maybe tomorrow”) is situated at the southern tip surrounded by mango trees and ancient baobabs. There are 5 rooms dotted around a rocky knoll, two family houses on the beach, two double houses at the end of the beach and a honeymoon suite on its own island. Each room has its own deck, views to die for and direct access to the lake.

The Island itself has plenty of treats in store and you are free to explore on foot, by bicycle or on quad bikes. A visit to St Peter’s Cathedral is highly recommended.
