Spectacular Serengeti
Mobile Tented Safaris in Tanzania
Limited to 12 persons
March 7 – 20, August 16 – 30, November 27 – December 6, 2010

One of our preferred providers has a few openings in 2010 for those who would like share their safari experience with a few others.
You stay in spacious, en-suite tents set in remote wilderness areas and are attended
to by an experienced camp crew. Your activities and game drives are planned to take advantage of the best of what each area has to offer. There is not a set schedule, but rather a plan that is created each day with consideration of your interests, weather changes and animal movement.
These safaris feature two private camp locations – to give you an idea of the
diversity of the vast Serengeti ecosystem -- with a night or two at a lodge while your camp is being moved. This mobile safari operation is renowned for safety, quality and comfort without pretension. The 4X4 Land Cruisers are custom-built safari vehicles designed for photography and game viewing and carry a maximum of four guests.
Most of the year Tanzania’s daytime temperatures are warm (80’s to 90’s) and
evenings are cool (low 50’s to 60’s). There are very few mosquitoes in the Serengeti ecosystem because it lies in the temperate zone with altitudes of 5,000 feet and low humidity. Most guests fly to Kilimanjaro International Airport. From the moment you arrive in Tanzania, you are taken under the wing of Francesco Pierre-Nina and his experienced team.
To safari with Francesco-Pierre Nina is “not about touring, but entering a realm belonging to wild animals and living the magic the way one should when under the African skies.”

Currently there are openings for three couples, or two couples and two singles, on each of these safaris:
March 7 – 20, 2010
The wildebeest migration can generally be found on the short grass plains of the Southern Serengeti at this time when they are at the end of the calving season. Predators find this an opportunity they cannot resist.
August 16 – 29, 2010
You are sure to see wildlife at the waterhole during the dry season! This safari will include Lake Eyasi to see the Bushmen, the Ngorongoro Crater and Olduvai Gorge.
November 27 – December 10, 2010
The first private camp will be near Lake Ndutu, one of the Rift Valley’s soda lakes, where the acacia woodland is a good place to spot elephant, lion and cheetah. With a little climate cooperation you will catch the south bound zebra migration too.
